Chinese people are usually very modest. When being praised, they always say "nǎ lǐ nǎ lǐ"(哪里哪里),"guò jiǎng le"(过奖了),"hái chà dé yuǎn ne"(还差得远呢) instead of saying "xiè xie"(谢谢) directly.
